P4D advocates for schools, families and communities to promote equity and inclusive education and to take meaningful steps to protect human rights for all by: raising awareness about the implications of racism, intolerance and discrimination in the education system on all members of society; creating and offering training, workshops, materials and resources for families and schools; supporting caregivers and families to advocate for children who experience discrimination or bias in schools.  What We Do<ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit;color:rgb(40, 50, 78);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px">Mentoring and equipping parents, caregivers and guardians to engage effectively with their students' schools </li><li style="color:rgb(40, 50, 78);box-sizing:inherit;font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px">Create and expand Parent to Parent Network (peer support training program)</li><li style="color:rgb(40, 50, 78);box-sizing:inherit;font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px">Workshops, such as Navigating the School System, and </li><li style="color:rgb(40, 50, 78);box-sizing:inherit;font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px">Creation of resources to support parents and educators </li></ul> What We Need  Our goal is $5,000. Please join us in making a difference to students and families.  An anonymous donor is matching donations up to $1000, so your donation could have double the impact!   What Your Donation Can Do $5000 enables our Parent Advocate to: <ul><li>support more than 40 parents/families across the four Ottawa school boards in addressing the challenges they face advocating for their students’ access to meaningful, joyful and equitable education free from discrimination OR</li><li>conduct multiple parent peer training sessions that can teach over 100 parents how to support one another and navigate the school system.</li></ul>
