We have a community swimming pool and Thrift store that is 100% to support our mission. We appreciate your support. In the middle of Hurricane Helene, we were tasked with one of our biggest missions yet.  Taking care of the community, we love so dearly along with dealing with our own loss of property and building assess in part of the heavy hit areas of the storm.  No matter the issues we faced we all knew one thing was true.  We must help our neighbors, and that is what we did from day one.  Our staff that lived close to the center walked in on day one to assess damages and get to work helping people.  As more of our volunteers were able to, they started coming in and helping with everything from unpacking donations to mucking out our building that was full of mud.  Few came at first but then many more came with donations, side by sides and other equipment to help us get to where the people were stuck in their homes across the river. We have been blessed as a community to not have lost any lives, but loss of spirit was closing in.   In the days that followed a new light, and spirit came to many as we were able to reach out to the community with the lifesaving supplies they needed.  This is an event that will forever change the lives of this community for years and years to come; But we believe more than anything that this community will stand strong. Hand in hand helping neighbors.  We are proud to call this community home, and we are eternally grateful for the support that has been given from all over the USA.  God Bless and please continue to remember us in the days and months to come.  BICC Team!
