Thanks to dedicated supporters like you, the Council can support various initiatives that improves the quality of life for Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, Hard of Hearing, and Late-Deafened people in the state of Alaska. One of the highlights of 2024 was witnessing some members of the community become certified Scuba Divers thanks to the generosity of the Lions Club of Mountain View in addition to providing professional development opportunities. We were proud to have one of our Members at Large host an event in Girdwood to share their dreams and lifelong ambition to achieve something that they thought was not possible before. In addition to this incredible opportunity the Alaska Deaf Council has created partnerships with other organizations such as Challenge Alaska, Alaska State School for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing, and Hope Alaska that will truly enrichen the mission of the ADC and create impactful experiences for all people. Your donation will help us reach hundreds of people in the state of Alaska through our in-person and hybrid programs, hands-on experiential learning, and we are so thankful!  We also invite you to consider the possibility of maximizing your impact. Many companies offer matching gift programs, which can potentially double your donation to the Alaska Deaf Council, extending our reach to even more people in need of support.
