Hazelwood Preparatory Inc.  is an alternative educational non-profit organization. At Hazelwood Prep, we focus on channeling what children are passionate about into a love of learning and we support individualized education by rejecting a one size fits all educational model.

We’re thrilled to celebrate our 6th year as a 501(c)(3) homeschool program that’s making a difference in education. At Hazelwood Prep, we teach history on a classical 4-year cycle with language arts integration, pair math with science, and foster creativity through twice-yearly performances at the Lawrenceville Arts Center.

We are thrilled to welcome Nyeesha Williams as the new Executive Director at Hazelwood Prep, where she will join forces with the school's visionary founders, Andrea Hermitt and Mere Jones. With her leadership, we eagerly anticipate the growth of our performing arts programs. Nyeesha is committed to ensuring that children in Atlanta and beyond have access to the same life-changing opportunities that once profoundly impacted her own journey. Together, we are dedicated to fostering a culture of creativity, education, and healing, creating a nurturing environment where every student can discover their sanctuary in the arts.

At Hazelwood Prep, we believe that financial constraints should never stand in the way of a child's education. As a not-for-profit program, we are committed to raising funds to provide tuition assistance for qualifying families, and sustain our arts programming.
