The Northeast Texas Prairie Community Classroom is the combination of a child’s hope and the fervent desire of a local prairie conservationist to provide education that will help area landowners restore habitat for pollinators and prairie species.  Specific project goals include, but are not limited to:<ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">The construction of student-based pollinator gardens that will serve as an educational resource for those who want to learn more about plants that encourage pollinators, and</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">The development of a 5-acre native tall-grass prairie, and</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">The facilitation of educational workshops and classes for the community that focus on sustainable land management, pollinators, birds and nature-inspired art, and</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">The continued expansion of the prairie classroom to include facilities, trails, interpretive signage and additions that enhance the connection between the area community and nature, and</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">The construction and development of an onsite facility that can be utilized by the community for educational purposes related to the promotion of the Northeast Texas Prairie Community Classroom, and its vision.</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">The integration of livestock into the restoration to facilitate and improve soils, grasses, forbs and habitats for wildlife.  </li></ul>
