Support the "From Our Garden" Program

In 2024, our 2-acre garden, situated on donated land from the Vineland Research and Innovation Centre (VRIC), produced 14,000 lbs of fresh produce. Additionally, our garden team harvested another 28,000 lbs of fruits and vegetables from the VRIC property, bringing the total to 42,000 lbs. This bounty was used in our Food & Kitchen program, providing 6,993 nutritious snacks and 11,667 weekend meals to the community, including hot lunches for 45 food-insecure students identified by our partner schools. The surplus was also shared with 17 social service agencies across the Niagara Region. From June to October, we operated a pop-up "pay what you can" market, promoting wellness and food security in our neighborhood and making healthy food accessible to individuals who might not otherwise be able to afford it.

In 2025, our goal is to raise at least $10,000 to support this year’s gardening season. With these funds, we aim to expand our crop offerings by incorporating a wider variety of diverse and culturally significant foods to better serve the newcomers in our community. Every harvest will directly benefit an even larger number of families and individuals. Our garden thrives because of the generosity of donations from our incredible supporters, and we are deeply grateful for their continued contributions that make all of this possible. Through our Adopt a Row donations, our community help support many by providing funds that keep the garden running.
