The Southwest Edmonton Farmer’ Market is a community run non-profit Alberta Approved Farmers’ Market that has served Southwest Edmonton since 2011. SWEFM is organized by community members & volunteers who are passionate about creating a vibrant and welcoming gathering space that builds belonging, feeds people, and supports our local economy.
We need community partners. More than 100 local businesses rely on SWEFM for their livelihoods and thousands of people depend on us for access to fresh, healthy food. Community partners provide funding that helps pay for rising operational expenses, keeping vendor fees low, and supports us to facilitate engaging events, the Community Tent and programs like Young Vendors & Sprouts for Kids.
Why Support the Market?
Farmers’ Markets are essential. SWEFM plays a vital role in local business incubation, providing opportunities for farmers, food producers, and craft artisans to market their goods to the public.
SWEFM is part of a global movement that’s reconnecting people with the land and the people who grow their food. We care deeply about increasing access to healthy, local food in our community.
Building community is key. SWEFM prides itself on being a vibrant gathering place for neighbours & artisans to meet and engage with art, music, and culture.
