Respond Search & Rescue is a registered not-for-profit organization.

We rely on donations from the public and private sector as well as raising funds at events and training sessions to cover our yearly operating costs. Through the generosity of our donors, we are able to provide the following services for our local community in Peel Region:

Search & Rescue:

Ground Search and Rescue is the search and rescue of persons who are lost or in distress on land. People may go missing for a variety of reasons. Some may disappear voluntarily due to issues like domestic abuse, family issues, or arguments. Others disappear for involuntary reasons such as mental illness, getting lost, an accident, death in a location where they cannot be found or, less commonly, due to abduction.

Search & Rescue Prevention:

In order to save lives, reduce pain and suffering, and minimize the economic and social burden associated with responding to SAR incidents, a focus on prevention is necessary. The sought-after outcomes should aim to reduce the frequency, and mitigate the duration and severity of SAR incidents by altering behaviour, promoting timely alerting, and increasing the potential of survivability.
