Maama Watali Home for Domestic Abuse Survivors

This fundraising event will serve to help bring awareness to the Ottawa community and help bring in funding for the contrustuction of a recovery home for domestic violence survivors.

The proposed and approved location for the home will be an extension added to the Fourth Avenue Baptist Church in the Glebe. The Addition to the church will help make space for 14 units to house survivors. With the help of the Fourth Avenue Baptist Church, women will be given the appropriate resources to take back control of their lives and lead a better future for themselves and loved ones.

Every dollar you give brings us closer to building a safe haven for women and children in need—those who have faced unimaginable hardships and now need a place to heal. Maama Watali’s recovery home will provide more than just shelter; it will offer hope, community, and the chance to rebuild a future.

Your donation will directly contribute to:

  1. Safe Shelter: Giving families a secure roof over their heads.
  2. Supportive Services: Access to counselors, support groups, and essential programs that help survivors recover emotionally and mentally.
  3. New Beginnings: Skill-building workshops that help these brave women regain their independence and look towards a brighter future.

Together, we can break the cycle of abuse and build a community where women can thrive again. Your support makes a real, lasting difference. Help us turn our mission into reality, and be a part of creating a safe space for those who need it most.
