Fava had her cleft palate repaired on February 12th and a revision surgery on April 2nd.  Below are the invoices for her care. UPDATE:Since her initial surgery, Fava has had teeth removed to prepare for a 3rd surgery that happened in June.  On follow-up this still wasnt healing the way it should and her amazing vet had taken some time to reach out to his peers to see if there was something we could do about her healing.  Unfortunately, there were no leads on what could be going on or what tests we could run to understand more of what was going on with her healing. However, we suspect that maybe her body had been rejecting the donor bone graft that is used in the surgery so her vet is going to do another surgery but how it used to be done before the bone grafts became available. This is by using a piece of ear cartilage to be placed in the cleft space.  Her ear will heal from it and since it is from her own body, the hope is that this will finally allow it to take and provide stability to the area.  Our Fundraising goal is the current cost of all the surgeries she has had. We will update it once we know what her latest surgery will cost. The surgery is set for November so we are fundraising during this time to help prepare for the cost.
