Hello, I'm Sara, and I'm honoured to be the captain of Dorothy's Dream Team for this year's Moonlit Memory Walk. As part of the leadership team at Home Hospice Association (HHA) and a dedicated member of the 'No Place Like Home' Program Working Team, I am deeply passionate about supporting my community and ensuring that our LGBT+ elders receive compassionate and dignified care.

While my work with HHA's death education and training initiatives is incredibly fulfilling, I'm particularly excited about contributing to the development of our LGBTQ2S+ programming. During my recent International Business class for my Community Economic Development Masters program, I chose to research the care needs of LGBT+ older adults in their transition to long-term care. This topic resonated with me as it combined my interests in queer community development and end-of-life topics. Now, I'm thrilled to see my research come to life through the 'No Place Like Home' program, making a tangible difference in the lives of LGBT+ older adults.
