Sadly passing less than 6 months after her husband Donald of 72 years in May 2023. Born in Aggasiz, BC, as a child Dot lived her life around BC, life of a railway child! moving from Grand Forks, Revelstoke, Salmon Arm, North Bend and many more, before finally residing in the Point Grey area of Vancouver, graduating from Lord Byng High School. She worked at Shell Oil until married. Dot & Don began building their family home on Capitol Hill in Burnaby where they lived until 1994 when they moved to Langley. She is predeceased by husband Don in 2023 and son Robin in 2018. Mom is survived by daughter Dawn (Dave), sons Bruce (Sue) and Mark (Marla). She loved spending time and talking to her 6 Amazing Grandchildren and 5 Fabulous Great Grandchildren, who will miss Mama's/Grandma's baking and special handwritten notes and recipes. Mom worked part time at the Pacific Coliseum during major events, including the Rolling Stones, The Eagles, and Rod Stewart, etc. She was a member of the Burnaby Power Squadron and the Canadian Tolly Cruisers for many years. Mom & Dad enjoyed many years cruising the Pacific Ocean, in their Tolly Craft "The Impulse" writing stories of their adventures in Sun Cruiser Magazine and enjoying themselves especially on "J" dock. Mom was a fabulous gardener, which probably contributed to them both living quite healthy into their 90's. She was a great baker and entertainer who loved trying new recipes. A Heartfelt Thank You to Dr. R. Demian, Dr. M. Darwash, along with Michelle H. & team for your care & compassion. A private service will be held at a later date, if you would like to attend, please contact Dawn at the_impulse2@hotmail.com In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dot's honour to Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation.
