The 11th annual Sashbear Walk Fundraiser!


We are walking to create awareness for mental health and to raise funds to help us provide life-changing skills in support of those who suffer from emotion dysregulation and other related mental health challenges. Our flagship program is Family Connections™, which we offer for free in French and English across the country.”

Surrey, BC — Saturday, May 13, 11 am, at Hawthorne Park

Toronto, ON — Sunday May 28, 10 am, at Sir Casimir Gzowski Park

Montreal, QC — Sunday, June 4, 10:30 am at Bois-de-Liesse Nature Park

Edmonton, AB — Saturday, June 17, 11 am, at Victoria Park ( site #2 )

St. John’s, NL — Saturday, June 17, 11 am, at Quidi Vidi park

Walking together for mental health

Now more than ever, we need to take action to take care of ourselves and one another. Join many other participants at one of our in-person walks throughout Canada!—see locations, dates and times above. If the locations and/or dates don't work for you, do a virtual walk!—choose your own date, time and place to walk as far as you set between May 13 and June 17. Walk alone or create a team and walk as a group!

About Sashbear

Since 2012, The Sashbear Foundation continues to deliver educational webinar series, and skills programs across Canada. The Sashbear Foundation coordinates and trains a team of over 150 active volunteers who facilitate and deliver Family Connections™ peer-to-peer; a skills-based program that offers a lifeline for families and friends of loved ones that face emotional challenges. Family Connections™ (FC) is an evidence-based program that has consistently shown to help participants decrease levels of grief, decrease burden, decrease depression and increase mastery/empowerment.
