WHY PARTICIPATE?

Bowl for Kids Sake is our signature campaign that's been around for more than 45 years. The funds raised are crucial as the need for mentoring programs increases. Every dollar helps us connect more youth in developmental relationships. It's also an opportunity for your company to participate in a fun activity for a good cause. It’s a great team morale builder as employees place high value on their company being a good citizen. Connectedness to community is vital to our well-being and productiveness, and employees feel this when they are part of a positive initiative in the workplace.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

All you need is 3-4 people to join you to get the ball rolling! It's an event for family, friends, groups and workplaces. If you're a company/business - you will most likely want to bowl in our   2 HOUR CORPORATE EVENT on Thursday or Friday, May 4-5 (4-6 bowlers, a minimum of $125pp). Our COMMUNITY DAY on Sunday, April 30 is ONE HOUR (4-6 bowlers per team, minimum $50pp).

WHO BENEFITS?

BBBS serves young people who face adversity AND are in need of an additional consistent and supportive Developmental Relationship. In the past 2 years, the need for mentors has increased by 102% in our community. Currently more than 140 kids are waitingin metro St. John'sfor the chance to be enrolled and matched with a Mentor. However, without the financial resources to increase our staff capacity, the waitlist will continue to grow and kids will lose hope.  This event is vital to the agency’s ability to meet the ever-growing demand for programs.
