Hello everyone! We are the Spiny Lumpsuckers (Class of 2025) medical students from the Cumming School of Medicine. Members on our team will be either shaving, cutting or dyeing their hair on June 2nd to raise money for Kids Cancer Care. Last year the medical class raised over $20 000, and this year we aim to raise $30 000. Join us in our efforts to combat childhood cancer and support these kids and their loved ones by donating! Any amount helps!
We're asking YOU to do something brave and bold for children affected by cancer. Show them that they're not alone in their fight, that people care and that there is hope. Join the Big Brave to show your support!
Fundraisers can shave, cut OR colour (even with a non permanent spray dye) your lid and join the growing movement of everyday heroes standing in solidarity with the kids who need it the most!
The Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta is a charitable organization that helps Alberta families fighting childhood cancer. Our programs are uniquely designed to meet the needs of the whole family at each stage in their cancer journey, from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. To that end, we provide funding and program in three key areas: Camp and Outreach; Research and Hospital; and Education and Scholarships. To learn more about us, click here.
Thank you to our community partners
The Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta plans to raise approximately $5,200,000 this year from philanthropic individuals, organizations, and grantors. Raising these funds will cost the organization an estimated $1,500,000. All monies raised will be used for board-approved programs and projects that benefit the children and families we serve.
