This season’s opening concert will celebrate childhood, the start of composers' outputs, and enduring creative sparks. The program spans centuries, traversing from one of Beethoven's earliest chamber music compositions to George Enescu's musings on childhood, and presenting two world premieres by MPM Academy alumni Trevor Wilson and Oliver Hill. Other stops along the way include works by Mozart, Kevin Lau, Joseph Suk, and Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson. The night's string players visit Port Milford from their leadership positions in Montreal's Orchestre de l'Agora, the Harlem Chamber Players, and the Mannes School of Music. They are joined by JUNO-award winning pianist Angela Park.
