Sponsored by the Alpine Group and GFL, this salmon fishing tournament is the "resurrection" of the historic Juan de Fuca Fishing Tournament formerly sponsored by Stew Young, the Alpine Group and many local businesses. Originally administered by George Wetherell and then South Vancouver Island Anglers Coalition (SVIAC), the last running of the event occurred in 2017.  

With the increased need for funding to support the SVIAC Chinook Salmon Enhancement initiatives, currently in the Sooke Basin and planned for future identified locations, the tournament organizers believe this event will be well supported by the angling community and a forum to raise more funding for salmon enhancement projects.  

This One Day Alpine Juan de Fuca Fishing Tournament, headquartered in Pedder Bay RV Resort and Marina, is designed to appeal to the top competitive saltwater anglers, with a $20,000 First Prize and a total cash prize board of $45,000 up for grabs for the top 10 fish weighed in.  

There will be a Pre-Tournament Registration Night at the Langford Legion #91 - 761 Station Avenue on the day before the tournament - Saturday, September 7th - 4:00pm - 9:00pm.  Tournament ticket sales will end at 9:00PM on Saturday, September 7th and Tournament window stickers MUST be picked up at that time.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER FOR THE TOURNAMENT, pick up tournament rules and rod ticket window stickers.  This will be your opportunity to buy your 50/50 and raffle tickets. There will also be a Skippers Challenge Side Bet entry for your consideration.
