The Youth of Distinction Awards recognize youth, 12 - 18 years of age, for the remarkable ways they choose to live. The awards are not academic; rather, they focus on volunteerism, selfless service, and overcoming personal challenges. The eight categories are: Advocacy, Arts & Culture, Environment, Leadership, Peer Support, Perseverance, Sportsmanship, and Volunteer.  

The Youth of Distinction Awards are a great opportunity to celebrate youth in Calgary! An event for youth, by youth, these awards are planned by a volunteer steering committee of youth aged 12 - 18. The committee will select 24 finalists to be recognized at the ceremony. Please join us for an afternoon of engaging stories, performance, and celebration!

Tickets include entrance to the Zoo and a plated brunch. Please note parking is not included. 

Doors will open at 10:30 a.ml The official program will run from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
