Ruff's Winter Tale 2024 - Foul Papers: New Works in Early Stages of Development

Leading up to our summer production, we want you to join us as we explore the characters, themes and context of Shakespeare’s Tempest. On February 25th,  we are proud to bring you our third annual Ruff’s Winter Talewhich will take placeatRed Sandcastle TheatreThis season we are presentingFoul Papers: New Works in Early Stages of Developmentand will be sharing two exciting works in progress.

The first work of the evening is a long awaited collaboration between Ruff Leadership Collective members, Patricia Allison and Jeff Yung. Using Shakespeare's the Tempest as their backdrop, the duo will explore the intersection of contemporary dance and Kung Fu to create a new solo-work for Yung. 


Up next is Old Miranda (working title) by Christine Horne in collaboration with actor Chick Reid and dramaturg Nathaniel Hanula-James, an early-stage exploration of a Miranda beyound Shakespeare's The Tempest
