Set during the fur-trade era, Otîhêw explores Shakespeare’s themes through a Cree-Métis lens of race, land, love, survival, and betrayal. Otîhêw is the story of an affluent Indigenous woman bound in the historical “custom-of-the-country” to Desmond, a fur-trader employed by the imperial trading and trafficking institution that drove colonization over sovereign Indigenous lands.
All performances of Otîhêw are Pay-What-You-Can-Afford at the park, or you can reserve a seat in advance at the price point that is accessible to you.

Seating is on the grass. Bring your picnic blanket or lawn chair!
In an effort to make every performance of Otîhêw as accessible as we can, Open Captions will be available every night. The play was written to include Integrated Description.
