RE:UNION is back on the 10th of February in Montreal with New York underground techno icon Reade Truth [Sonic Groove / Path Records]. This event will be hosted at the beautifully unique brutalist venue Osmo X Marusan, with quality sonic support by Danley Sound labs / Elastique Audio. Prepare for an energetic, punchy, clubby fusion of U.S. styles, melodic techno, industrial and new beat influences. One of New York’s early pioneers of techno and DJ culture since 1990, Reade Truth has been an integral part of the city’s electronic music history. In the last decade, several of Reade Truth’s early releases on Path Records, Planet e, Sonic Groove and others have been recognized by young musical archeologists as forgotten underground gems. As of late, Reade continues to stay true to his sound and spirit, with a stream of more recent dope EPs and albums…always paying tribute somehow to his core influences - Skinny Puppy, Poésie Noire, Underground Resistance, Signal Aout 42, I start counting, Click Click and Borghesia to name a few. Reade has held residencies at clubs like Limelight, Building and Pyramid and plays regularly at countless underground events. Support on this night will be provided by dedicated RE:UNION residents duo Moaad & Daura.
