Take part in the 2024 Duck Race at Bissell Park!

This beloved annual event held previously by the Rotary Club of Centre Wellington, has been graciously handed over to the Community Resource Centre of North and Centre Wellington.

How it works:

1. You purchase any amount of our lucky rubber ducks ($5.00 each).
2. We randomly select ducks on your behalf and put them aside until they get launched into the Grand River July 1st at 1:30PM.  
3. Each duck has a unique number written on the bottom. We record those numbers next to your name and contact information.
4. At 1:30 P.M. July 1st, all purchased ducks will dropped into the Grand River at Bissell Park and travel down the river to the race finish line.
5. At about 1:45 P.M. the First Place, Second Place and Third Place winners will be announced.  We will contact the winners by phone and the winning duck numbers will also be posted on all our social media accounts, as well as our website communityresourcecentre.org

First Place: $500 Elora Home Hardware Gift Card

Second Place: $250 Zehrs Fergus Gift Card

Third Place: Certificate for local experience valued over $100

This event is in partnership with the Township of Centre Wellington and Zehrs Fergus.

100% of duck sales will go to Community Resource Centre's Community Outreach and Support Services.

These programs are free, accessible and designed to level the playing field for the most vulnerable in our community.

OurCommunity Outreach and Support Services address some of the most basic human needs including shelter, food, clothing and education. Currently, the CRC operates over 9 Outreach programs which include: Backpack Program, Winter Wear Program, Snacks-in-Packs!, Let Kids Play!, Income Tax Clinics, Housing and Food Supports, and Transportation Services.
