CLUB ZED is a professional development forward playwrights’ festival to be hosted in Montreal from May 14-17th, 2025. Early Bird 4-Day Passes are available for purchase NOW! 

With a 4-Day Pass, you gain access to all events over the course of the festival, and one In Conversation With session of your choosing. Registration will open soon after ticket sales. First choice of In Conversation With session is not guaranteed.

More about the festival: Club Zed 2025 will include low-stakes presentation forums, professional development workshops, and classes with distinguished artists, including Djanet Sears, Maguy Mettelus, Donna-Michelle St. Bernard, Diane Roberts, Marcia Johnson, d’bi.young anitafrika, and more. All programming is delivered through a diasporic Black lens, yet open to all in the performing arts community.  

Each day will begin with morning free-fall writings sessions, followed by workshops, a lunch-hour new works reading salon, and more professional development in the afternoon. The evening portion of the festival features public play readings, a cabaret, community roundtable and loads of opportunity to meet other Black artists from across Canada. Full schedule to come soon!
