Le Festival de la Voix 2024 approche et nous célébrons cette occasion par un concert exceptionnel mettant en vedette deux chanteuses d'opéra canadiennes de renommée internationale! Reconnue pour son travail dans le répertoire baroque, Karina Gauvin chante Bach, Mahler, Britten et la musique des XXe et XXIe siècles avec autant de succès. Elle a chanté avec les plus grands orchestres symphoniques et baroques, s'est produite dans les théâtres et festivals les plus réputés du monde, a été nominée trois fois aux Grammy Awards et a reçu plusieurs prix Opus, entre autres. Mme. Gauvin sera accompagnée par le pianiste Michael McMahon, qui a joué avec des chanteurs tels que Catherine Robbin, Marianne Fiset, Measha Brueggergosman et bien d'autres. Il est également professeur à la Schulich School of Music de l'Université McGill à Montréal, artiste résident à l'Institut Franz Schubert en Autriche, coach vocal et donne des masterclass. Il a travaillé avec des chaînes de télévision nationales et a été salué par la critique, notamment par des nominations aux prix Juno et au prix Opus.

Recognized for her work in the Baroque repertoire, Karina Gauvin sings Bach, Mahler, Britten and the music of the 20th and 21st centuries with equal success. She has sung with leading symphony orchestras and Baroque orchestras, has played in some of the most well-known theatres and festivals across the world, has 3 Grammy nominations and several Opus prizes, among many others. Karina will be accompanied by pianist Michael McMahon, who has performed with singers such as Catherine Robbin, Marianne Fiset, Measha Brueggergosman, and many more. He is also a Professor at the Schulich School of Music of McGill University in Montreal, a resident artist at the Franz Schubert Institute in Austria, a vocal coach and masterclass lecturer. He has worked with national TV networks and has garnered critical acclaim, including Juno nominations and the Prix Opus.
