The Rotary Club of Truro has been a part of the fabric of Rotary Clubs around the world since 1926. Our Club members are involved in projects locally, nationally and internationally. We proudly stand with 1.2 million Rotarians around the world to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
The mission of the Rotary Club of Truro is to provide service to others, especially children and individuals with special needs, through the efforts and fund-raising activities of our members who are business, professional and community leaders. Simply stated, we touch lives!
Om and Meena Khanna and the Rotary Club of Truro are pleased to announce the 9th Annual Bollywood Night. Like last year, we will be serving up the same great food, but as a curbside pick up at the Best Western Truro- Glengarry. Chef Raj Gupta will once again create our delicious meal. You just get to enjoy it at home with friends and family.
This year, it seems our community is finding our footing, after a difficult few years. We have come together in so many ways and can move forward stronger than ever. We have made the decision to continue with our takeout style dinner for another year. We received feedback from community members who really enjoyed this style of the event. We will have the same great food, available for pick up once again at the Best Western Glengarry.
The Rotary Club of Truro depends on signature events such as our Bollywood evening to raise the funds necessary to support our community. In years past, the funds raised from this event have gone towards important charitable organizations and projects. Some of those include: Camp Tidnish, Maggie’s Place, CMHA Colchester East Hants Branch, Colchester East Hants Hospice Society, Victoria Park Pool Restoration Project and Steps on Arthur (previously Colchester Community Workshops. Funds raised also go towards supporting community members in need with things like hearing aids, crutches, and other medical necessities.
This is why our Rotary Club along with Om & Meena Khanna want to make Bollywood at Home a huge success once again this year! This year we are hoping to hit the $100,000 mark for funds raised through the Bollywood event. Help us get there!
Bollywood Night will be held on Thursday, October 27 at the Best Western Glengarry with food pick up happening from 4:30-7 p.m.
Please join us in our efforts.
