It's time to learn French!
🔸Join our French classes (Level 1 and Level 2) for an exciting and engaging experience in the French language. This winter, we will hold classes on Saturday afternoons.
- Saturdays: Level 1 and Level 2
Whether you're starting from scratch or have some basic knowledge of the French language, our classes will help you begin your language journey and prepare you to speak, understand, and become part of Quebec's society.
We can accommodate a maximum of 40 students per level, so make sure to register soon to secure your spot!
Registrations will happen on a "first come, first served" basis. Students who enroll successfully will receive the syllabus and classroom information in their Concordia email.
Important:
This workshop is intended to graduate students only.
Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes and are expected to arrive to class on time to get the most out of the learning experience. A registration fee of $25 is required for the French workshop, which is fully refundable at the end of the workshop if you've attended classes consistently.
Level 2 students will have their French knowledge evaluated before joining the class.
Maximum of Two Absences:
Students may have a maximum of two excused absences (with valid reasons and prior notice) during the workshop. More than two absences will mean you won't get a refund for the registration fee.
🔸Schedule:
- Saturdays: Starting Feb. 15th!
Level 1 (1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.) and Level 2 (3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.)
For Level 1, you don't need any prior knowledge of French, so we will begin with the basics! You will learn about numbers, letters, pronouns, introductions, and more. You'll pick up essential conversation skills, basic grammar, and a lot of vocabulary to help you get around Montreal with confidence.
For Level 2, you should already be able to communicate a bit in French. During your first class, the teacher will assess your language skills to make sure you can keep up in Level 2. If you need more practice, you will be moved to Level 1. In this level, we will focus on French verb tenses and practice daily conversations to improve your communication skills.
Join other learners and become part of a friendly community of Grad Students at Concordia!
