SATURDAY NIGHT DOUBLE BILL!

This exciting short play by Emma Lamont follows storm-chaser Scott as he chases a twister across Texas… only to realize he’s inadvertently put himself front and centre for the storm of the century. Inspired by true events, this work-in-progress staged reading was developed in part during the Villains Playwrights Unit.

15 years in the making, Still Far Still Wide - written by artistic director Dan Bray -  is a metaphysical mystery imagining a meeting between the poets, Emily Dickinson and Edgar Allen Poe. After Poe's late wife sends him a cryptic message from beyond the grave, Poe goes on a  journey that leads him to the front steps of burgeoning author, Emily Dickinson. This gothic, literary adventure juxtaposes light and dark, life and death, and agoraphobia and claustrophobia, in order to explore the nature of inspiration, legacy, and poetry. Q&A to follow.
