Only Men May Vote: The Story of Fredericton Women's Lost and Found Voting Rights.

Event closed

We are excited to partner with Backyard History's Andrew MacLean to present a live reading of his story, Only Men May Vote - A Tale of Fredericton Women's Lost and Found Voting Rights, taken from his latest book, Rebellious Women of the Maritimes. The reading will feature Andrew as narrator along with a variety of special guests including Mayor Kate Rogers, Fredericton Poet Laureate Fawn Parker and Fredericton City Councillor Cassandra LeBlanc with friends David Coon and Luke Randall.

This special evening event will be hosted by CBC's Jeanne Armstrong. Following the reading there will be a live Q&A with Andrew talking about his research into the story and with our guest readers about the different challenges they have faced in establishing their careers.

This event will take place on International Women's day eve, March 7 at 7:30 p.m.
