A grass roots community group has joined with the Village Improvement Society of Dennis to purchase land across from the Village Green in the heart of Dennis Village. Purchased is a 1-acre lot on Route 6A between the ice cream shop and the historic Captain Howes’ house at the corner of Hope Lane, and additional land extending north along Hope Lane. This land had been proposed for dense development, to be clear cut and filled with 20 townhouses and parking lots, forever altering the historical character of the village. Generous donations and pledges from people like you have made it possible to purchase the land with a 2 year mortgage with payments due in 2025 and 2026.
