Centrally located in Itasca County, we bring together people of all ages from all over the state—all for the fun of this game we love so much. Ask any of our members, and you’ll find that Itasca Curling is much more than a hobby, it’s a group of people who care about the game and, more importantly, one another.
But, our club is in a bit of a bind. Our compressor system, which keeps our ice in top-notch condition for curling, is on its last legs and needs to be replaced as soon as possible.
New compressors are vital to our continued existence. But they’d also open the door for more programs and opportunities that we could bring to the community. The compressors would allow us to be more efficient with our offerings and funds. We would be able to host more events throughout the year, like a special summer spiel or youth camps. This work will allow us to expand our impact in the community—driving revenue for local businesses and bringing people together more often.
We're a community of about 150 members, including 34 youth curlers. Curling is a great way to keep active throughout the winter. While adults enjoy weekly leagues, our youth program gets more instruction. Kids from ages 6 to 21 learn about teamwork and gain confidence—all while keeping active. We hope to keep growing the program as they are the future of our sport.
We’re a completely member-owned non-profit and the only curling club in Itasca County, which makes us pretty unique. But it also means we rely on community partners to keep the lights on. Your donation, no matter how big or small, will go a long way toward keeping our curling club going strong.
