Lonnie Saeger - October 30, 1953~August 4, 2024


Lonnie, our energetic, dog-loving, kind-hearted human who, as a board member and friend, deeply desires to help the mobility-impaired community, made an incredible impact in the Service Dog World with his understanding of canines and humans. 

Lonnie changed many lives, one dog at a time; we are honored to have worked side-by-side with Lonnie on many projects with MobilityDog as he taught each of us how to live and laugh more with his can-do, child-like energy we all embraced! 

We will carry his energy, joy, and gratitude for all of life forever in our hearts. We bow in appreciation and gratitude for Lonnie’s time and energy, and we appreciate how every one of our service dogs and service dogs-in-training would wiggle and waggle whenever he was near!

Lonnie's wife, Marcey, has requested donations be made in his memory toMobilityDog.Org. In his memory and spirit, we have established The Lonnie Saeger Memorial Fund to continue funding the work he was so passionate about Advancing FUNctional independence for people with disabilities through service dogs, education, and empowerment.
