UPDATE: The Oregon Outdoor Education Center is officially open! On September 17^th, the ZPMF was able to close on the property and take possession in time for fall Outdoor School. While we did not reach our initial goal of $600K, we were able to get $300K and the 4-H Foundation accepted our amended offer, and we will now have until next August [2025] to pay the other half.

The Zack Packard Memorial Foundation in conjunction with Wildlife Stewards LLC is excited to announce that our offer to purchase the Oregon 4-H Center property and establish the re-imagined Oregon Outdoor Education Center was accepted by the Oregon 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees on June 7, 2024. Our next step is to launch a fundraising campaign to secure funding to finalize the sale.

ZPMF is launching a $6,000,000 capital campaign for the purchase of the property and establishment of the Oregon Outdoor Education Center. Our first phase of the campaign is raising $600,000 by September 10, 2024, to secure the purchase of the property and prepare for hosting Oregon fifth and sixth graders for Outdoor School beginning in September.

The property has been a pivotal hallmark in enriching the lives of children, offering educational and recreational services that spark learning and a sense of fun for over half a century. ZPMF and Wildlife Stewards LLC are honored to continue this legacy and imagine the possibilities for the future. The Oregon Outdoor Education Center will expand the property’s reach and impact by serving as a hub for youth empowerment and outdoor education in Oregon, hosting diverse programming focused on fostering growth and positive youth development.
