The Association of Korean American Medical Graduates is an organization comprised of over 150 medical doctors representing primary care to the gamut of tertiary specialty care in the tri-state area.  As a community-driven organization first, AKAM has mobilized its physician membership to organize and provide care at local health fairs promoting wellness and disease management in underserved Korean communities. Our organization gives health awareness seminars and financially supports local charitable organizations geared towards promoting the health of underserved populations. As a secondary but equally important mission, AKAM nurtures an upcoming cadre of Korean-American physicians through mentorship of pre-medical and medical students and the awarding of scholarships to medical students, residents, and related research.  Through these activities, we serve our broader communities at need and foster a new generation of physicians who will continue such service.
