On Thursday, February 22, 2024, the Soddy-Daisy Community Library lost a wonderful friend. Sondra McGann brought so much joy to everyone she came into contact with, and we miss her so much at the SDCL. She was always smiling and giving of herself to us, and even after she's moved on, she continues to give. Her family has requested donations to be made in her honor to the Soddy-Daisy Community Library. These funds will help support our mission of elevating our community. We'll be setting up a memorial plaque for her in the upcoming Minerva's Meadow, an educational pollinator garden that will teach children and adults about the benefits of pollinators to the environment. And of course, we'll be planting her favorite day lilies with her plaque. Thank you for helping us keep her spirit alive.
