Since 1901, the Cumberland Valley Volunteer Firefighters Association (CVVFA) has had the distinct honor of bringing together fire and emergency services leaders from across jurisdictional lines for the betterment of emergency services.

For over a century, CVVFA has interacted with local, state and national leaders to develop programs that address the needs of our nation’s emergency responders.

To date, CVVFA has provided no cost education to over 150,000 emergency responders.

CVVFA members are 100% volunteer and offer programs in traffic incident management, public safety education, and other critical topics.

CVVFA is a 501(c)3 charitable organization with several ways individuals and organizations can provide support.

Our Signature Programs

Emergency Responder Safety Institute  www.ResponderSafety.com

CVVFA volunteers are committed to protecting America's emergency responders on the roadway.

CVVFA volunteers provide FREE education, training, and data collection to prevent line of duty deaths and reduce responder injuries while working roadway incidents.

Our volunteers have donated thousands of hours to educate the public on the dangers of unsafe driving and train emergency responders (firefighters, law enforcement,, EMS, tow operators, and safety patrol) on best practices to reduce injuries and fatalities while working at roadway emergencies.

Our volunteers travel the country to educate drivers about the dangers of unsafe driving, such as drunk, drowsy, distracted, disgruntled, drugged, etc.

Public education material about “Move Over” laws and how to react to emergency vehicles at incident scenes has been distributed at schools, community gatherings, rest stops, and other venues.
