The Greensburg Salem Education Foundation (GSEF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides grants, scholarships, and other funds to the Greensburg Salem School District to enhance student learning and promote success.

Mission Statement: GSEF's goal is to encourage community-wide participation and philanthropy to generate resources to enhance learning and promote success for students in the Greensburg Salem School District. Some highlights include:

• Golden Apple grants distributed to faculty twice per year
• Student reimbursement for AP testing and college credits for courses taken in high school
• Multiple student scholarships, including Joseph Zahorchak “Spirit of Greensburg,” Joseph Nava Memorial, and Dorothy Strafford Nursing/Healthcare scholarships
• Ina Abraham “A Great Teacher” award given to 3 teachers per year
• Annual All Classes Alumni Reunion picnic
• Distinguished Alumni Banquet every Spring
• Participant in Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program
• Active endowment fund to ensure our continued ability to support the district for years to come
