Make Dreams Come True With Teacher Katie & Make Our Day

At Make Our Day, my munchkin's aren't munchkins anymore.  They are growing up and this scholarship fund exists to launch them safely into the next phase of their lives.  Every day, I witness the aspirations of bright and deserving students whose dreams are limited by circumstances beyond their control.  We have to work together to overcome a lot - and with every heartbreaking setback - one of us has to pick the other back up and say our mantra "We can do this".

How You Can Help

Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference. Here are some ways you can support the Make Our Day Scholarship Fund:

• One-Time Donation: Make a one-time donation to provide immediate assistance to students in need of a specific thing like getting their ID or paying standardized testing fees.
• Monthly Giving: Consider becoming a monthly donor to provide ongoing support and stability to our scholarship program.  Monthly donors pay the tuition of students who are still in school ($30 a month) or supplement the monthly salary of students who are now working at the school (individual donors decide this amount and it goes directly to towards the students pay check so that the school does not need to cut their hours based on lack of funds).
• Annual Giving: Make Our Day's annual fundraising period for the scholarship fund starts at Christmas and ends with Teacher Katie's birthday (February 28th) each year.  If you can pledge to making a donation every year during this time period, it greatly helps us in planning how many scholarships and sponsorship opportunities we can offer to students.
• Matching Gifts: Many employers offer matching gift programs, doubling or even tripling the impact of your donation. Check if your company participates in such programs.  We've already received 2 matching donations this year, one from Black and Veach and one from Equifax - most large companies have their own matching portal and can send us a check or direct deposit if you provide proof of your donation.  PLEASE reach out if you think your company might have a program like this - info@makeourday.org
