Meet Charlie! Our latest Rescued Pup.

Rescued Pups Rescuing People (RPRP) is taking care of Charlie because Charlie's person had to move into an Assisted Living facility. Charlie lived with his person his whole life, 7 years, since he was just a little puppy! 

Charlie had no place to go until RPRP stepped in to take care of all of Charlie's needs and to facilitate visits with Charlie's momma.

EXPENSES for Charlie since his rescue (so far):

- $357 for initial veterinarian charges. At the time we rescued Charlie, he did not have up-to-date rabies or other vaccines and we immediately took care of getting bloodwork, and rabies and other vaccines updated so Charlie and everyone around him is safe.

- $252 for a bed, leash, harness, coat, food and water bowl, mats, and other necessities.

- $925 for an urgently needed teeth cleaning and extractions. At the time we rescued Charlie, we noticed his breath smelled unbearably bad ... poor Charlie had an abscessed tooth and was likely in a lot of pain. Though it is a very expensive procedure, we did not hesitate to help Charlie by taking care of his dental emergency, having the abscessed tooth removed and all his teeth scaled and cleaned.

- $50/month for food and treats. Charlie is a little guy who eats mainly Science Diet kibble, Paw Lickin' chicken, egg, and ground turkey. He also loves eating apple pieces and carrots!

- $35/month for Simpatico TRIO for heart worm, flea and tick prevention.

- $150 and higher for Therapy Dog training and certification. While we are taking care of Charlie, he's proven to be a wonderful visiting dog and can help "Rescue People" with his happy presence. People love Charlie and he brings a smile to people he visits. We plan to have Charlie visit people in nursing homes, drug rehab facilities, school settings, and other facilities that want a visit from a certified therapy dog.
