This donation will help to achieve our mission. We'll be able to :

- Support Youth aging out or who have already aged out of foster care. (27,000 youth in Florida have aged out of foster care). 

- Provide a fully equipped home with the resources needed to create and build a healthy/successful life. (Basic needs met so they’re not in survival mode every minute of every day) 

- Change the lives of so many young adults that have no other way. 

-Break the cycle of hopelessness and intergenerational foster care. (The kids of these young adults are 5 times more likely to enter Foster care). 

We are a resource home for homeless youth that were previously in the foster care system. We provide them with a safe, fully equipped home, where they will learn the skills needed for life as an adult.

The skills taught while in the resource home are: interpretation skills, social skills, financial literacy,  career readiness, home economics, problem solving, coping mechanisms, effective communication, organizational skills, health and wellness. This is crucial for their personal and professional success through out their residency and thereafter. 

We also provide trauma based counseling and classes by a registered clinical social worker. The young adults also take classes to learn how to have healthy relationships along with the skills needed for everyday life. 

Each young adult will have a voice and a choice while developing their plan to complete the transitioning process to total independence.
