Your donation helps us preserve a historical Black property dating from the end of the Civil War and repurpose it to help end homelessness in Austin. Currently, we want to demonstrate to the association leadership and the wealthy philanthropists that there is widespread support for our vision.   The initial donations will be used for site cleanup and protecting the property while we raise capital to pay for the major renovation.  Most of it will go directly to pay the labor costs for people in our workforce program who are unhoused or at-risk of being unhoused.
