The Association for Women in Cryptocurrency (AWIC) is a platform for women and supportive allies, who seek to enhance their knowledge and education in the growing field of cryptocurrency and other digital assets, blockchain, web3, and related technology and services, while advancing the opportunities for women to ensure they will play an equal role in the future of digital finance.

AWIC is inviting you to be part of a transformative movement. We are a global advocacy organization founded in October 2022. With chapters in New York, London, Singapore, San Francisco, and Washington, DC, and over 200 members internationally in more than 18 countries, we seek to promote the role that our members play in these industries and most importantly, even the playing field to ensure equality and inclusion are built into the future of digital finance.

What have we accomplished so far? 

In our first ten months, we have been focused on community building and have held:

• 40 Global Events: We organize in-person events in major cities and in conjunction with conferences worldwide, fostering valuable networking opportunities. We even hold custom events for our members when they travel to major cities to ensure they are connected to the network!
• 5 Webinars and Workshops: We host webinars that cover professional development topics, helping women advance their careers and advocate for industry inclusivity. Most webinars finish with a networking session that allows members from all over the world to connect and collaborate.
• 1 Unified Network: Our global membership connects women and supportive allies across the industry and around the world, ending the era of cold calls.

What are we fundraising for and how will we use your donation?

As we move forward into our second phase, we are excited about some of the critical inclusion initiatives we have planned that will not only help our individual members, but are designed to actually move the needle on inclusion industry-wide. These include, but are not limited to:

•  Working with a leading DEI Platform that measures, tracks, and improves Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to study and benchmark inclusion in the industry, giving us a data-based metric for where we are now, enabling us to develop an effective "plan of attack" for where we want to get to. 
• Creating a global campaign that will involve a four-prong strategy for increasing the number of female speakers on substantive panels at major crypto, blockchain, and web3 conferences around the world.
• Running a gamified "DEI Competition" where we have 6 - 8 companies from the crypto/blockchain industry compete over the course of 6 months, using a DEI Platform that measures their starting line, provides programming for improvement, and tracks their progress, and rewards companies that participate and achieve the most improvement on inclusion.
