The Community Engagement Fund is designed to provide a reliable and flexible source of funding for our community engagement and organizing initiatives. A dependable source of donations- especially monthly- allows HMC the capacity to better plan the long term growth of the organization and community.

Our goal is to get to 100 monthly donations of $5 or more by the end of 2024. You can help us get there!

Here's just some of your donation makes possible:

• We serve ~80 families each week at the Midway Project with free groceries and diapers. 
• We have planted 119 free trees in the neighborhood with 56 more on deck for this year.  
• We lead 7+ cleanups each year that engage over 100 volunteers and remove thousands of pounds of trash from our sidewalks and boulevards. 
• We hold community conversations with United Village, Metro Transit, and the City of St. Paul’s Department of Safety and Inspections, and more. 
• We adopted the Green Line stops at University and Snelling. 
• We cohost the Mighty Midway Festival, attended by 500+ participants. 
• We host an annual Ice Cream Social, attended by 300+ neighbors!

The Hamline Midway Coalition (HMC) is a neighborhood nonprofit that exists to empower residents to shape our community based on shared aspirations and values. We are also the official district council for the Hamline-Midway neighborhood. Our goal is to bring neighbors together to help build a connected & healthy community.  We are the only nonprofit organization dedicated solely to ensuring the Midway is a great place to live, work, and play.  

We don't do any of our work alone! HMC is anchored by neighbors just like you. Donations from residents and local businesses are an investment in our community, and community-generated funds play an important role in determining the scope and focus of our work.
