Our mission is to raise awareness, provide support and meet needs.
We have three main programs that each meet monthly:
*Foster/Adoptive/Kinship family support group
*Thrive- a monthly meet up for teen girls who have been affected by foster care and/or adoption.
*Driven- a monthly meet up for teen boys who have been affected by foster care and/or adoption.
The meet ups for teens are crucial in helping build self esteem and confidence. It also gives them a safe space to make healthy connections with other kids who “get it”. These meet ups provide opportunities to some kids who are living below the poverty line and do not have funds for the extra fun stuff.
All of our programs are completely free to anyone who attends.
We have an office and resource center that foster and kinship parents are welcome to use anytime.
Many times children come into care with absolutely nothing but the clothes on their back. Our organization provides emergency pajamas, toiletries, toys, clothing, comfort items, school supplies, diapers, wipes, bottles etc. We get these items into the hands of foster parents when the child is placed so they are not having to make an emergency run to the store.
We provide meals and gift cards to foster families when they have a new placement to help ease the transition.
We help kinship families who receive no financial support from the state with food, over due utility bills, and necessities.
We do a huge toy and coat drive at Christmas time every year. This year we served 214 children in and around Iredell county.
We also served 60 children this Easter with Easter baskets.
When children are being reunified, we offer all of our services to birth families as well.
Your donations are crucial in helping us to continue all of these programs. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
