Madhatter Knits is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing warmth, hope, and love to preemies in NICUs across the country. Our mission is simple: knit hats for tiny preemies and newborns who need a little extra care. Each hat helps stabilize the temperature of these vulnerable infants, fulfilling a requirement that allows them to safely return home to their families. But beyond warmth, these hats offer comfort and emotional support to families, letting them know they are not alone on their journey.

Our hats are crafted by a nationwide community of volunteers, stretching from California to Maine, and we’re proud to extend our support globally to underserved communities in Mongolia, India, and Africa. Through partnerships with hospitals and organizations, we’re committed to supporting maternal and child healthcare, especially for families facing the greatest challenges.
