I am reaching out to request your support in raising awareness for suicide prevention among our local veterans, their families, and the community. Many of us have been affected by mental health struggles, whether through veterans, loved ones, or others in our lives. The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association® (CVMA®) MI 35-3 is committed to addressing this issue, especially as suicide rates among veterans and civilians have risen, particularly after the COVID pandemic.
On August 16, 2025, CVMA® MI 35-3 will host the 11th Annual Suicide Prevention Ride to raise awareness and funds for mental health support services. This event is open to all, and we invite you to join us. More details can be found on our event page: https://cvmami35-3.org If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Many veterans suffer from PTSD or Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), and mental health struggles are impacting more civilians, especially youth. We need to provide help to prevent suicide and ensure support for everyone in our communities.
Proceeds from this event will go to organizations that specialize in mental health services. One such organization is Reining Liberty Ranch, which offers therapeutic riding programs for veterans and their families. No Veteran Left Behind, which offers Mental Health and legal Services. Care of Southeastern Michigan who provides Mental Health treatment, counseling and prevention classes for students and youth. Additionally, some funds will support CVMA®'s mission of Vets Helping Vets, providing direct assistance to veterans struggling with mental health issues.
Your tax-deductible donation will support suicide prevention efforts in our community. Donations can be made to CVMA® MI 35-3 by visiting our website here or given directly to any chapter member.
Thank you for your support in helping us raise awareness and resources for suicide prevention.
We welcome your visit to our website at: https://cvmami35-3.org If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Respectfully,
David (Zman) Zanin (USA Retired)
