One hundred sixty-five million four hundred thousand. According to a study conducted by the National Survey on Drug and Health (NSDUH) in 2019, that is the number of people over the age of twelve who used drugs and/or alcohol in the month prior. Of those millions of people, how many did you know? Were you yourself a user? Now imagine how much higher that number is today. Or perhaps, how many lives we have lost due to someone suffering from an addiction. This is a heavy subject that I believe we all try to ignore, especially in the society we live in today. But that must end. We are Step Seven Ministries, and we are taking a stand against drug and alcohol abuse. We would like to take a moment of your time to explain just how we are doing that, and how we hope you can help.

We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization based in Parker, Colorado. We operate a faith-based ministry that provides Christ-centered sober living homes to men recovering from their struggle with alcohol and/or drug abuse. Our vision is “To see others become Christ-centered, set free from their addictions and transformed into leaders.”   In order to do this, we promote a lifestyle that is based on the foundation set forth by Jesus. In the past 16 years, we have been able to help hundreds of men in their recovery process through events and programs including our seven sober-living homes for men, weekly small groups for both men and women, recovery based worship service, which is open to the public, group sporting events, community building events, our discipleship course, life skills development and personal development workshops. Hundreds of families have been restored, while creating contributing members of society. While most sober living homes or rehabilitation centers focus solely on ending and/or monitoring the use of substances, we help men build new lives. We are partnered with local business owners to ensure stable employment, we create welcoming and safe environments within our homes for the men to bond and grow together, and we provide an opportunity to get closer to Jesus. Ultimately, we want to see these men and women rebuild their lives to become active and positive influences within our community and to use God and His word to do so. 

Through our sermons and outreach events, we have built a community of like-minded men and women who gather together, learn to depend on one another, to hold each other accountable and who aim to become strong role models with sound morals and values for future generations.
