All donations for the Fore Love Charity Golf Tournament will be split 50/50 to support the two organizations below. Both organizations are recognized by the IRS as 501(c)3 non-profit organizations.
Forging Forward serves active duty military, veterans, first respond-ers, and Gold Star Families via organized Retreats; Remembrance Tags (dog tags of military combat veterans who died by suicide), The Body Shop, a program that assists a military veteran wounded in war to get or update a prosthetic; Reflective Art, an activity using art to tell a story, and comedy from the founder, Bobby Henline, to uplift spirits and demonstrate that with a positive attitude, support from family and friends, and hope—anything is possible.
The organization works with men, women and families to increase social connectivity, gain new skills, increase knowledge and treatment of physical and mental health conditions related to trauma, and provide resources that allow an individual to live a collective, fulfilling and dignified life.
Harrington For Hope serves children with burns, who were admitted to or treated by a burn center. Funds are used to provide a week of physical and emotional healing at Camp Hope.
Harrington, a former lieutenant with the Cookeville Police Depart-ment, holds a special place in his heart for burn survivors, especially those who are children. In 2016, Harrington found himself fighting for his life after entering a burning home in an effort to save the lives of others. After an unexpected explosion in the home, the lieutenant spent one month at the Vanderbilt Burn Center in Nashville being treated for his injuries.
It was there that Harrington learned of Camp Hope and met Rebekah Lemley, a burn center nurse who also served as the camp’s director. She noted the biggest struggle as camp director was funding. Har-rington vowed he would make it a priority to help fund the camp.
