Coopersville Cares is a charitable organization dedicated to providing emergency assistance, food, clothing, and basic necessities to our neighbors in need throughout NE Ottawa County. We are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those facing difficult circumstances, and strive to provide compassionate care with dignity and respect.
Your donation to Coopersville Cares supports our many assistance programs including weekly food distributions feeding upward of 150 local families per week, monthly mobile food trucks, eviction and homelessness prevention, utility shut off assistance, a free clothing & home goods closet, holiday support programs, and a variety of other individualized services designed to meet people where they are and plot a path forward to self-sufficiency and success.
The impact at Coopersville Cares is both immense and hyperlocal. Using our program and company relationships, we can often provide meat for a family's weekly food box for less than $2 each. That means a $250 donation pays for an entire week's worth of meat in our grocery boxes, an item that is usually not included in most other food pantry distributions because it is so infrequently donated. We keep careful track of every penny donated to make sure we use as little as possible on overhead and keep the vast majority flowing directly into the programs our clients and neighbors need most.
