The James W Gibbons Asm. 286 is asking for you to support our efforts in supporting our Disabled Veterans.  For the last several years we have been providing reading material and bingo games at the VA located in Topeka.  Due to Covid restrictions our Mission has changed.  We are now providing Holiday Goody Bags for our Disabled Veterans and support Staff.  Assembly 286 provides approximately 150 bags for each of the following holidays, Easter, 4th of July, Veterans Day,  Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas,  More importantly these goody bags are delivered by 4th Degree Knights to each Disabled Veteran at the VA as well as in outpatient care.  The assembly was also able to donate a gas grill and grill set for use by the Veterans.  Seeing the pictures of the Veterans using their new grill and being able to do something I'm sure we all take for granted was moving. 

I realize if you are like me you are getting inundated by donation request, but if we all give a little we can continue to fund this program and possibly expand it to make their lives a little better. Be part of the solution and help us reach our goal.
