The Pacific Beach Coalition and the San Pedro Surf Club present: Of Wind and Waves, the Life of Woody Brown Join us for the 17th annual Surf Movie Night Fundraiser featuring the captivating documentary "Of Wind and Waves." This film is a tribute to the legendary Woody Brown, an icon of surfing, sailing, and soaring.  Of course the evening is an event with other special features and fun... We will have the privilege of hosting two special guests for open Q&amp;A: – Director and Producer David L. This film highlights Woody's significant contributions to the surfing world, including pioneering modern surfing techniques and his deep bond with the Hawaiian surfing community. Alongside his surfing achievements, Woody is celebrated for inventing the modern catamaran and setting world gliding records. His life story weaves through personal triumphs and sorrows, including the profound loss of his wife and the eventual reunion with his estranged son. This narrative and archival footage not only captures Woody's adventurous spirit, generosity and simplicity but also portrays the rich Hawaiian culture and the enduring spirit of aloha.
